Each wall-mounted handrail kit contains everything required to complete one handrail run. Nothing to source separately — order the length you need and it arrives complete.
42.4mm diameter AISI 304 stainless steel handrail tube. Hard-wearing, long-lasting and low maintenance. Satin or mirror polished finish.
Articulated wall brackets included per kit — quantity scales with kit length. Allows for angled fixing on stairs and ramps. Pre-drilled for straightforward wall fixing.
2× matching stainless end caps per kit. Clean, considered finish at both ends of the handrail run.

GLASS-COMPATIBLE · AISI 316 MARINE-GRADE · SATIN/MIRROR FINISH
A channel-profile stainless tube used as a top rail on glass balustrade systems or as a standalone architectural handrail. The slot profile accepts glass panel edges cleanly, making it the natural choice where a handrail sits above a glass infill run.
INTEGRATED LED · WARM/COOL/RGB · MAINS OR LOW VOLTAGE
An integrated LED strip concealed within a stainless handrail profile — ambient light along the length of the rail, no visible fittings. Available in warm white, cool white and [RGB] options. Mains or low-voltage power supply. The premium option in our handrail range.

Every SWR wall-mounted handrail kit is manufactured from premium-grade stainless steel, load tested and built to last. The 42.4mm tube diameter sits within the 32-50mm graspable range for staircases and ramps. Manufactured to BS 6180 and Approved Document K standards. One of SWR’s most ambitious installations to date.
Each kit contains: one length of 42.4mm AISI 304 stainless steel handrail tube (in your chosen length — 1M, 2M, 2.5M, 3M or 3.5M), articulated wall brackets (quantity scales with kit length), and 2× matching stainless end caps. Everything you need to complete one handrail run — nothing to source separately.
Kits are available in 1M, 2M, 2.5M, 3M and 3.5M lengths. For runs longer than 3.5M, order multiple kits and join the tubes using a handrail connector — speak to the team and we’ll advise on the right approach for your run length.
Satin finish has a brushed, directional grain — the most common finish for residential and commercial handrails, understated and easy to maintain. Mirror polished has a bright, reflective surface — a premium option suited to high-spec interiors and architectural applications. Both are available across the full kit range.
AISI 304 is suitable for indoor and sheltered outdoor applications — the standard specification for most domestic handrail installs. AISI 316 marine-grade is recommended for exposed outdoor, coastal and poolside environments where salt air or high humidity is present. If you’re within a few kilometres of the coast or the handrail will be fully exposed to weather, specify 316.
Approved Document K requires handrails on stairs to be between 900mm and 1,000mm above the pitch line, and between 900mm and 1,100mm above landings and ramps. All SWR handrail kits can be installed within these limits using the articulated brackets — bracket height is adjustable on site to achieve the correct finished height.
