Premium AISI 316 stainless steel wire, supplied pre-cut to suit your project with the appropriate tensioning allowance.

Stainless Posts

Round stainless steel post profiles in a satin finish, available in a range of heights to suit your installation.

Tensioning System

Threaded stud system that allows you to tension each individual vertical wire rope.

Handrail as Standard

Our most popular modular wire systems come complete with a 42.4mm or 48.3 mm handrail.

Base Fixings

Heavy-duty stainless steel base plates suitable for concrete, timber or steel substrates.

Is vertical wire better for staircases than horizontal?

It depends. There are various reasons why horizontal and vertical systems are preferred. This is often due to the nuances of the project. Aesthetics and compliance regulations will be important considerations. Please call us and we can discuss the pros and cons of each system.

The most popular spacing for our vertical wire systems is 100mm. However, the system is very flexible and we can work with the spacing requirements of your project.

Yes. Coated wires are available in a variety of colours for vertical wire systems — useful where the wire infill needs to complement a specific colour scheme or interior palette. Speak to the team at quote stage to confirm available colour options.

Yes, our wire systems are available in marine-grade 316 stainless steel to suit outdoor and exposed coastal applications.  AISI316 is also suitable for swimming pool applications.

No. Our balustrade systems are designed for easy fitting — a few design specifications are all it takes to create and install a unique wire rope infill system. For those who’d prefer not to install themselves, SWR offers supply-and-install for projects in the South East.
